There are some wedding venues that instantly feel cinematic, and Hedsor House is undoubtedly one of them. Set amongst rolling Buckinghamshire countryside, the venue offers an incredible backdrop for couples wanting an elegant English wedding with space, atmosphere, and timeless character. For Clare and Matt’s September wedding, Hedsor House delivered all of that and more.
As a wedding videographer, outdoor ceremonies always bring a unique energy to a wedding film, and Clare and Matt chose to exchange vows beside the main house with guests gathered beneath the late summer sunshine. The setting felt relaxed, intimate, and effortlessly beautiful, the perfect combination for natural, documentary-style wedding filmmaking.
I first heard from Clare after she discovered my work through Instagram while booking Joshua Patrick Photography for their wedding. In her enquiry, she mentioned how much she connected with the authenticity and genuine emotion within my films, alongside the musical storytelling and cinematic framing. Those kinds of weddings are always my favourite to film because the focus naturally stays on real moments rather than anything staged or overly directed.
Clare and Matt met eight years ago during a mutual friend’s birthday weekend away in Norfolk and now live together in East London. Their personalities and relationship brought such an easygoing warmth to the entire day. From emotional moments during the ceremony to the constant laughter throughout the drinks reception, everything felt incredibly natural and full of life.
One of the standout moments of the day came during golden hour. Hedsor House is perfectly positioned to catch the warm evening light across the Buckinghamshire hills, and we were treated to one of those dream late-summer sunsets that every wedding videographer hopes for. Stepping away briefly from the reception allowed us to capture some beautifully relaxed portraits while the grounds glowed in soft golden light.
The atmosphere shifted completely once the evening celebrations began. The dance floor exploded into life thanks to a brilliantly organised surprise flash mob from Clare and Matt’s guests, one of the most energetic and unexpected moments I have filmed this year. These are the kinds of unscripted moments that make wedding films feel personal and unforgettable, and exactly why I love documenting weddings in a natural way.
Working alongside talented suppliers always helps create an incredible experience for couples, and this wedding was no exception. Alongside Joshua Patrick Photography, the entire day was beautifully styled and planned, with every detail feeling elegant without ever losing the relaxed atmosphere Clare and Matt wanted.

“We didn’t know we needed a videographer for our wedding until we saw Browns Films’s work – and we are so happy we booked. From the very start, Tom was such a pro that we never had to stress, and we knew the results would be nothing short of epic…
He kept everything fun and relaxed on the day while being super professional, and his patience with us made the whole day effortless. The video he delivered is incredible. We already knew his work was brilliant from his content, but we were blown away by how he made two camera-shy people look comfortable and confident on screen.
We highly recommend working with Browns Films – Tom is amazing at his craft and a pleasure to work with.”
