When it comes to luxury marquee weddings, the details make the design. Katie and Dillon’s celebration at the family’s own Abingworth Vineyard in Sussex was a masterclass in how to combine high-end elegance with massive personality. As a Sussex wedding videographer, I see a lot of marquees, but few are transformed quite like this one.
The setting was idyllic quintessential Sussex countryside with vines stretching into the distance. However, the real showstopper was inside. The floral installation by Fall Into Flowers was truly breathtaking, running the entire length of the marquee and immersing guests in a canopy of blooms. No detail was left untouched, from the bespoke tableware to the custom-built “Askehurst Arms” A fully operational pop-up pub named after the couple, ensuring the drinks flowed as freely as the conversation.
Katie stunned in two incredible looks, transitioning from a romantic Elie Saab gown to a party-ready Oscar de la Renta, perfectly matching the shift in energy as the sun went down.
And what a party it was. Fueled by an amazing vibe and the sounds of Supertonic, the dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. This was a wedding that proved you can have it all: the stunning vineyard backdrop, the high-fashion styling, and a party that goes down in history.
