Hannah and Tom’s wedding at Pylewell Park was the definition of luxury coastal elegance. Set on the Hampshire coastline with breathtaking views across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight, it provided an incredible backdrop for a stylish and relaxed wedding celebration.
As a Hampshire wedding videographer, I’ve had the pleasure of filming at Pylewell Park several times over the years. Despite being a considerable distance from my base in Norfolk, it’s always a venue I look forward to returning to. Everything about the estate feels grand in scale, from the historic house and sweeping gardens to the iconic coastal views that make Pylewell one of the most sought-after luxury wedding venues in the South of England. It’s definitely a venue where a drone is needed to fully capture the scale of the estate and its incredible setting.
From the moment I arrived during the morning preparations, I knew this was going to be a special day. Both Hannah and Tom were completely relaxed and fully enjoying every moment of the build-up to the ceremony. There was an effortless atmosphere throughout the morning, allowing for natural moments and genuine emotion to unfold organically on film.
Hannah looked incredible in her Suzanne Neville wedding dress as she revealed her bridal look to her father and bridesmaids. Moments like these are exactly why I love documentary wedding filmmaking. Nothing forced, nothing staged, just authentic reactions and emotion captured naturally.
Hannah and Tom chose to have a traditional church ceremony before returning to Pylewell Park for the reception. With stunning floral styling by Flori Event Design, the church looked beautiful while still feeling elegant and understated.
Whenever I film a church wedding ceremony, my approach is always the same. Stay unobtrusive and allow the ceremony to breathe naturally. Church weddings require a quieter, more observational style of filmmaking. I keep equipment to a minimum, avoid unnecessary movement, and focus on capturing the emotion of the ceremony without distracting the couple or guests.
This approach works especially well for luxury weddings where the atmosphere and experience of the day are just as important as the visuals themselves.
Back at Pylewell Park, we explored the grounds for a relaxed couple shoot around the estate before the evening celebrations began inside the marquee. The combination of coastal scenery, elegant styling, and high-energy celebrations made this wedding an absolute dream to film.
